First issued to the U.S. Army aviators in 1931 and worn by flight crews throughout World War II, the A-2 flight jacket was reissued by the U.S. Air Force in 1987. Made by Cockpit, the current supplier of the A-2 to the Air Force, this updated classic version has a rugged outer shell of French lambskin, characterized by its distressed leather appearance and soft feel (softens even more with wear). The jacket provides three-season comfort with a snap-down collar, zip-up closing, two front cargo pockets (with snap closures), two side pockets, and wool cuffs and waistband. The nylon/acetate lining has two American flags embroidered across the back with a silk-screened message that says "The Nation Salutes You." Imported. Requires leather cleaning. Slim fit. Men's sizes S (34-36), M (38-40), L (42-44), XL (46-48), or XXL (50-52). (6 lbs.)
